The Queen of Awkward Photos

I have a talent of looking awkward in pictures. Arms, hands, feet, everything. Form some reason I struggle. I openly admit to this problem and am open to receiving pointers. These pics are a compilation of old and some more recent photos. I hope to master this ability at some point, because really it is quite frustrating at times! Here is a little flavor of that which I speak.... haha actually pretty funny. Look at them "KNOWING" I look totally  awkward, it makes it funnier. haha

  ehhhh....

pat your leg-- the puppy will come if you, PAT YOUR LEG!!!!

The socks just do this one in. Hands down.

Training

Recently I have been training for a 1/2 marathon. I figure I better work my way up to a full-blown marathon! The best I've done is an Olympic Triathlon (1 mile swim, 25 mile bike, 6 mile run) It was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life up to this point, but awesome. If I were to feel prepared, I would love to eventually ro a marathon. Anyways,  I'm working on getting both mentally and physically strong. Yoga has actually really helped me with that. I feel so much more able to just run and run and run, when my mind is confident that I can do it. Wish me luck, I havn't topped 10 miles yet. As soon as mid-terms are over, I will be able to put forth more effort with training....I'm also loving this weather, which is allowing for some non-treadmill running. Fresh air is soooo much better than a nasty machine at the gym!!

Los Templos

Megan, her little sister Kori, and I were able to go to the Draper Temple open house the other day. The only open house I have ever been to was the Nauvoo temple, and I was 14, so it's been a while since I have had this opportunity. It seriously is an incredibly beautiful temple on the inside and out! The temple on the outside is made of gorgeous white granite. It is so pretty because it is nestled in the mountain side, and it looks over the Valley.

Me and Megan after the open House.

Below is The Denver Temple. The temple I grew up being closest to. I have a lot of memories at this temple (my sister's wedding, and cinnamon rolls in the cafeteria after ward trips haha) I was lucky enuogh to only be about 30 minutes from this Temple. My earliest memories of the Denver Temple were taking pics with my Primary class sitting by the fountain...

With my parents now stationed in Logan, UT. they too are just a few minutes away from the temple. The Logan Temple is very unique, but still quite breath-taking. We can see it from our house, and I absolutely love it!!

On a trip this summer to San Diego, I discovered my "favorite" temple. I know your technically not supposed to have a favorite, buuut- for the sake of the blog, and your eyes, I will post one. It honestly, ok, I'm going to say this.."took my breath awaaaaaaay"  I LOVE it, and I would love to marry someone from SD, let alone even CA just so I could get married there.
ps. I took this pic. ya, I know.

fun-filled weekend!!

Megan absolutely loves me, and I love her!! Hahaa I love to harass her because she is very anti-touchy feely, and I often make her feel very awkward, and it becomes very entertaining!  this was a fun night though--we attempted to master the"Single Ladies" Dance!!!! We are about 1 minute in, and it is coming along quite nicely.

These girls have been such a support to me this past year, it will be sad when we all go on our Walkabouts and venture out from H-4..

Logan and I met on a trip to Lake Powell this summer and then he decided to abandon the Belmont lifestyle and followed me to Lanai. We enjoy razor scooting. During my early teens, I was an avid scooter girl. Me and a friend even put on a neighborhood scooter obstacle course day-camp. At the camp we had drills that taught proper technique to scooting, scooter etiquite, jumps, tricks, races, etc. Part of me is still hanging on to that, and I am glad I have Logan to share this hobby with. I was a little rusty, and took a pretty bad fall. This happened to be so intense that control of the scooter was indeed LOST and flung about 5 feet towards Logan who was taking action shots hahaha.

2 of my favorite guys. Dean and Erik. But honestly...What is it with guys and their pecs?!?!I mean I do like a man with a chest, but these guys are seriously hilarious! haha They were LEGITIMATELY demanding that I feel them up, to determine whose were bigger. Results cannot yet be revealed ...

A blatantly awkward/necessary Home-teacher/teach-ee pic.

Me and Tay looking like some A-list celebs...
I owe Taylor to introducing me to my new discovered love this year: YOGA!! I will love him forever for being my diligent weekly Yoga partner!!

Battle of the French Toasts'

Recently I have been exposed to two breakfast menu's I dare call blessed!!! Both are known for their all you can eat French Toast... I am an avid Breakfast woman, and French toast is just heaven sent. I could eat it at any time of day, and you better believe I have! My vote for the best French Toast goes to Magleby's. mainly what won me over was the syrup, AND the option of adding whipped cream and strawberries.. Kneaders was still delicious, but it didn't knock my socks off as did Magleby's!!!!! These were groundbreaking discoveries for me, and both have my business!!!! Which is your favorite??
